Since 1959, the PNA Foundation's Newspaper Carrier of the Year contest has helped Pennsylvania newspapers recognize the exemplary performance of newspaper carriers of all ages. Each year the proceeds from the PNA Foundation Carrier Golf Outing help support this contest, the awards luncheon and a special activity for winners in conjunction with the awards luncheon. Continue to support this program by participating in or becoming a sponsor of the 2012 Carrier Golf Outing, scheduled for May 10, 2012, at the Penn National Golf Club, Fayetteville, Pa.
Entries for the 2012 Newspaper Carrier of the Year contest are now being accepted! Rules, Application Entry Form and Payment Form are outlined below.
Entries must be submitted by Friday, April 27, 2012. All nominees will be invited to an awards luncheon on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the Hershey Country Club, where carriers will be recognized and the winners announced. This awards luncheon is held in conjunction with the PNA Foundation Golf Outing. It is not mandatory to attend the luncheon in order to participate in the contest.
Each winner will receive two complimentary tickets to Hersheypark, with the option to purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate. In addition to the complimentary Hersheypark tickets, each first, second and third place winner will receive a cash award and be entered into the I-SCMA Newspaper Carrier of the Year contest. All fourth and fifth place winners will receive award certificates in addition to the complimentary Hersheypark tickets.
