Held every year during PNA's Annual Convention, the Auction is your chance to support the Foundation. This event raises money to augment the Foundation's mission of providing training and resources to member newspapers, developing the next generation of readers and journalists and working to educate the public about the importance of the First Amendment and the role of a free press.
Auctioned items are typically donated and bid on by publishers from across the state. Popular donations in the past have been box seats to sporting events, stays at vacation homes, signed memorabilia and jewelry.
The Auction is also known for its traditional raffle. Each raffle ticket costs $100 and gives you a one-in-20 chance to win five terrific prizes, including hotel accommodations to the Winter Management meeting. Every year only 100 raffle tickets are sold.
