PennSCAN, the Pennsylvania Statewide Classified Advertising Network, offers the widest exposure in classified advertising for your money. For only $450, your 25-word classified ad will run one time throughout our network of 158 participating newspapers. Combined circulations exceed 2.5 million.
And it's easy to place your classified ad online. Make sure the ad and payment arrives at our offices by noon on the Wednesday prior to the week you want your ad to run. The cost is only $450 for the first 25 words, $10 for each additional word. Payment must be made prior to publication.
Calculating the cost of your classified ad is simple. To count the number of words in your ad, follow these guidelines: telephone numbers (including area code) count as one word. For addresses, count house number and street as two words; box number and route numbers are two words; post office and box numbers count as two words. Name of city, state and zip code each count as one word.
Also keep in mind that statewide classifieds are line ads only. Each of our newspapers will run your ad in keeping with their classified policies-some run the whole ad in caps or bold, while others run only the first three words in caps or bolds. But once placed, your ad is guaranteed to run in at least 90% of the papers.
