The Reader Initiative Award, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association Foundation, honors the efforts by Pennsylvania member newspapers that accept the challenge, and create a community of readers through innovative initiatives. This award recognizes innovative efforts that result in the contributions to the advancement of readership.

The Reader Initiative Awards are presented at the PNA Annual Convention.
